Not sure why it says she's a Scandinavian professor. She's definitely not. Anyways, I took her "Machiavelli and His World" class in fall of 2018 and it was the most interesting course I have ever taken at UW! The professor's teaching style is fantastic and she really encourages you to engage with the text and ask plenty of questions! Attendance is required, and you got to come to class prepared (so read!). There are two papers that are easy and fun to write if you put in the work to really understand Machiavelli's texts. Overall, this is a fantastic course to take if you have to fulfill a literature requirement, mainly because KPC makes it so fun to learn and the subject matter is very compelling! I would definitely take this course again-or at the very least, take another course with KPC. She is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and knows how to best help you learn it!
She is an Italian professor, not Scandanavian
Hi there, I'm a Candidate at the University of Melbourne and found Prof Phillips-Court most helpful, personable and responsive, and clear in the ideation of the work she seeks to postulate. Although I do question the lexical problem of 'easy' in this forum. Adam Goatley, PhD Candidate Art History, Linguistics The University of Melbourne |
